Application of NB-IoT in Smart Smoke Solution

Fire is undoubtedly one of the biggest threats to the safety of people and public property. In recent years, there have been more and more independent smoke detectors, but there are limitations due to the single function of independent smoke detection products, which can only send out sound and light alarms. With the maturity of NB-IOT technology worldwide, new smart smoke detection solutions are coming out.

 

Shortcomings of traditional independent smoke detection

 

1. A large number of smoke detectors leads to network congestion, failure cannot be reported, and network instability due to the installation of equipment indoors.

 

2. Most of the independent smoke detectors on the market today use 1.5V alkaline LR6 batteries, which generally have a service life of about three years.
