ST VCU Vehicle Controller Demonstration

The vehicle controller VCU (vehicle control unit) is the core component of the new energy vehicle, which can collect the driver's operation input, including sensor signals such as accelerator pedal, brake pedal and gear position; complete the output control of the electrical system, including the control of relays, water pumps, cooling fans, etc.

 

Realize the information interaction with other systems, including the interaction with OBC (on-board charger), BMS (battery system) and other high-voltage components to complete charging and high-voltage power up and down, the interaction with MCU (motor controller) to complete drive control, and the interaction with EPB/EPS/ESP (chassis electronic control system) to complete charging and high-voltage power down, It also interacts with other systems, including OBC (on-board charger), BMS (battery system) and other high-voltage components to complete charging and high-voltage power up and down, MCU (motor controller) to complete drive control, and EPB/EPS/ESP (chassis electronic control system) to complete driving safety control.

 

ST VCU Demo is a specific application based on ST VCU Solution. Input signals include gear switch, accelerator pedal, brake pedal, and OBC charging interface. The output control includes main positive, main negative, pre-charge, DC/DC, OBC+, OBC- high voltage relay drive, motor controller MCU, OBC power supply control relay drive, high voltage interlock signal output input and fault indication, charging interface electronic lock motor drive and position signal detection, CC, CP signal detection, charging and charging completion indication; high speed CANFD interface.

The demo input and output control modules are all original parts, and the basic control and diagnosis functions (relay up and down power timing control, torque calculation output, electronic locking and unlocking, HVIL detection of high voltage interlock signal, etc.) can be completed by simulating other modules (BMS, OBC, MCU) data through Pad GUI and Tbox.
