TNY288PG General Description

TNY288PG is a low power off-line switcher IC from Power Integrations. It is designed for use in low-power applications such as chargers, adapters, and auxiliary power supplies. The TNY288PG integrates a 700 V power MOSFET, oscillator, high voltage switched current source, current limit, thermal shutdown circuit, and multiple protection features into a single IC package.The TNY288PG operates with a wide input voltage range of 85 VAC to 265 VAC and provides an output power of up to 6 W. It offers a high efficiency of up to 86% and meets international safety standards including UL, CE, and TUV.Key features of the TNY288PG include a built-in auto-restart mechanism, frequency jittering for low EMI, and a simple design with minimal external components required. The IC also includes a hysteretic thermal shutdown for over-temperature protection.
