TNY277PN General Description

TNY277PN is a member of the TinySwitch-III family of energy-efficient power supply ICs developed by Power Integrations. It is specifically designed as a low-cost, high-efficiency off-line switcher for low-power applications. The IC integrates a 700 V power MOSFET, oscillator, high-voltage switched current source, and other necessary control circuitry into a single, compact package.TNY277PN features an auto-restart capability for system reliability in fault conditions, as well as line under-voltage detection to ensure proper operation even during line voltage fluctuations. The device also includes over-temperature protection and hysteretic thermal shutdown for enhanced safety. With a wide input voltage range of 85-265 VAC, the IC is suitable for a variety of universal input mains applications.In terms of efficiency, TNY277PN offers up to 85% efficiency across a wide load range, making it ideal for energy-saving designs. The IC also meets stringent energy efficiency standards such as DOE Level VI and CoC Tier 2 requirements.
