UC3843N General Description

The UC3843N is a voltage-mode pulse width modulation (PWM) controller integrated circuit (IC) designed for controlling high efficiency, low power switch mode power supplies. It features an internal oscillator up to 500 kHz, precision reference, short circuit current limiting, and pulse-by-pulse current limiting. The UC3843N provides for push-pull or single-ended operation, has a totem pole output stage, and can drive power MOSFETs or bipolar transistors.The IC operates over a wide input voltage range of 7V to 30V, making it suitable for a variety of different applications. It offers a high degree of accuracy and stability over temperature and voltage variations. The UC3843N also includes soft-start capability to reduce stress on the power supply components during start-up.
