RT9742SNGV General Description

The RT9742SNGV is a synchronous step-down DC/DC converter from Richtek. It operates at a high efficiency up to 96% with a wide input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and an output voltage range of 0.6V to 5.5V. It is suitable for applications such as portable devices, consumer electronics, and industrial equipment.This converter features a fixed frequency PWM control architecture and provides a switching frequency of 2.4MHz, ensuring a small external inductor and capacitor size. It also includes a soft-start function to reduce inrush current during startup and an enable pin for easy on/off control.The RT9742SNGV has built-in overcurrent protection and thermal shutdown to ensure safe operation under fault conditions. It is available in a small 2mmx2mm WDFN-8L package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs.
