ML4824IS1 General Description

The ML4824IS1 is a high-performance pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller designed for isolated flyback and forward power supplies. It is equipped with features such as a high-current totem-pole output stage, adjustable dead time control, programmable slope compensation, and an internal oscillator that can be synchronized to an external clock signal.This controller provides overcurrent protection through a current limiting circuit that adjusts the duty cycle when the current exceeds a predetermined threshold. It also includes overvoltage protection by monitoring the voltage on the VCC pin and shutting down the PWM output if it exceeds the set limit. Additionally, the ML4824IS1 offers thermal shutdown protection to prevent damage to the device in case of overheating.The ML4824IS1 operates over a wide input voltage range of 17V to 40V, making it suitable for a variety of applications. It can drive logic-level power MOSFETs to control the power output efficiently and effectively. This controller is available in a 16-pin SOIC package, making it easy to integrate into existing power supply designs.
