HMC494LP3 General Description

The HMC494LP3 is a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) designed for use in a wide range of applications such as test and measurement equipment, microwave radios, and satellite communications systems. It operates within a frequency range of 5.4 GHz to 5.6 GHz and offers excellent phase noise performance.This VCO features a tuning voltage range of 0.5V to 20V and provides an output power level of 8 dBm. The HMC494LP3 is housed in a compact 3x3 mm leadless surface-mount package, making it suitable for space-constrained applications. It also has a typical phase noise performance of -110 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset.The HMC494LP3 operates from a single positive supply voltage of 5V and consumes a low supply current of 30 mA. It offers a linear tuning characteristic and excellent temperature stability.
