FOD8316R2V General Description

The FOD8316 is an advanced 2.5A Output Current IGBT Drive Optocoupler, capable of driving most 1200V/ 150A IGBTs. It is ideally suited for fast switching driving of power IGBTs and MOSFETs used in motor control inverter applications and high performance power systems. It offers critical protection features necessary for preventing fault conditions that lead to destructive thermal runaway of IGBTs.
It utilizes ON Semiconductor’s patented coplanar packaging technology, Optoplanar®, and optimized IC design to achieve high noise immunity, characterized by high common mode rejection and power supply rejection specifications.
It consists of an integrated gate drive optocoupler featuring low R_DS(ON) CMOS transistors to drive the IGBT from rail to rail and an integrated high speed isolated feedback for fault sensing. The device is housed in a compact 16-pin small outline plastic package which meets the 8mm creepage and clearance requirements.

The fee is good. Protection (lock) problems are solved by the 0.47 conder, the mosfets are heated a little. The board is convenient because the wires are min in length. Hitachi's turning rules. Akki high current only put!! Otherwise, protection will work. And only the same, charged and so on. Charger from shurik can not be used.!! need charging for example 12.6 v. I liked the white fee. It does not need to redo anything. Cut-off voltage 2.55 v. With good akki shurik can not stop even at 2nd speed. Balancing is good. Mosfets are most likely chinese, so they are heated. on branded boards is max. 2 mosfets and everything works. I can advise, but i will take white (5S-100a). they have an indicator. It is easily converted to 3-4-5s. After field tests, it is possible to add.
