MADR-007131-000100 General Description

MACOM's MADR-007131-000100 is a dual, breakpoint free driver that produces a logarithmic outputcurrent suitable for linearizing PIN diode basedvector modulators. This driver, in conjunction withthe external components, as defined in Figure 1,produces a linearized transfer function between theinput control voltage of the driver and theattenuation / phase output of the vector modulator.The MADR-007131-000100 has been optimized forlinearizing MACOM’s Vector Modulators (see Table1), but will function well with most types of cathodegrounded vector modulators. The driver is packagedin a 6 x 4 mm Chip Scale Package for commercialSMT applications. A typical schematic for a duallinearizer driving a vector modulator is shown inFigure 1.
