L7812CV General Description
The L7812CV is a voltage regulator IC that can provide a fixed 12V output voltage from a higher input voltage source. It is a three-terminal device with an input voltage range of 14V to 35V and a maximum output current of 1.5A.The L7812CV has a built-in thermal shutdown and current limiting protection feature which ensures the device and the circuit it powers are safe from overheating and overcurrent conditions. It also has a ripple rejection ratio of 62dB and a dropout voltage of 2V, making it suitable for a wide range of applications where a stable 12V power supply is required.The device comes in a TO-220 package which allows for easy mounting and heat dissipation. It also has a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, making it suitable for use in various environmental conditions.
