Description

The TPS61197DR offers a highly integrated solution for LCD TV backlighting, featuring a current-mode boost controller that drives one WLED string with multiple LEDs in series. By automatically adjusting the output voltage, it delivers the minimum voltage required by the LED string, optimizing driver efficiency. This device supports direct PWM brightness dimming, where the white LED current can be turned on and off at a frequency determined by an external PWM signal. Integrated protection features include overcurrent protection, output short-circuit protection, LED open protection, and more. With programmable input undervoltage lockout and output overvoltage protection, this device is available in a 16-pin SOIC package, making it ideal for single-layer PCB boards
