General Description

The PCF8575DWR is a versatile 16-bit I/O expander that operates in the range of 2.5V to 5.5V V_CC. With its compatibility with most microcontroller families through the I²C interface, it offers a convenient solution for remote I/O expansion. The device features a 16-bit quasi-bidirectional I/O port, which includes latched outputs capable of driving LEDs with high current. This eliminates the need for a data-direction control signal, making it simple to configure each I/O as either an input or output. Upon power up, all I/Os default to a high state, with only a current source to V_CC being active
