General Description

The PCF8574DGVR is an 8-bit input/output expander designed for 2.5V to 6V VCC operation, making it suitable for a wide range of microcontroller families. With its I2C interface, consisting of serial clock (SCL) and serial data (SDA) lines, this device provides a convenient solution for remote I/O expansion. The 8-bit quasi-bidirectional I/O port (P0–P7) features latched outputs with high-current drive capability, allowing for direct control of LEDs. Moreover, each I/O can function as either an input or output without the need for a separate data-direction control signal. Upon power on, the I/Os are set to a high state, with only a current source to VCC being active
