General Description

With its differential input structure, the MAX9718/MAX9719 differential input audio power amplifiers have become the go-to solution for portable audio devices equipped with internal speakers. Additionally, the bridge-tied load (BTL) architecture ensures a minimized external component count while delivering top-notch, powerful audio amplification. In terms of choices, the MAX9718 is a single-channel amplifier, while the MAX9719 is a dual-channel amplifier designed specifically for stereo systems. Both devices have the capacity to deliver 1.4W continuous average power per channel to a 4Ω load with less than 1% THD+N, all while operating from a single +5V supply. Furthermore, the devices are available as adjustable gain amplifiers or with internally fixed gains of 0dB, 3dB, and 6dB, which ultimately helps to reduce component count
