MAX5541ESA+ General Description

The MAX5541 serial-input, voltage-output, 16-bit monotonic digital-to-analog converter (DAC) operates from a single +5V supply. The DAC output is unbuffered, resulting in a low 0.3mA supply current and low 1 LSB offset error. The DAC output range is 0V to VREF. The DAC latch accepts a 16-bit serial word. A power-on reset (POR) circuit clears the DAC output to 0V (unipolar mode) when power is initially applied.

I thought that there is a 12/5 volt interchange, planning to change it to 5/5 for my task, but it turned out that 12/3 (more precisely, the output value of 3,7 volts). Well, i found in the acoustics where i installed, 14 volts, connected through 150 ohms sequentially-at the output of the junction those 3,7 volts. Connect quickly, sounds qualitatively (noticeably better than the modules on the 8630 chip), but here is one problem: if after power off immediately turn it on again, then the module does not start-it is not visible to devices and does not blink with leds. If you hold in the off state for about a minute, everything is working again. I do not know what this behavior is associated with, but definitely not with my consistently switched on resistor (tried without it, from the 12 v power supply is the same). However, this is not critical, because. I turn on/off the acoustics, i'm much less likely than once a minute.
